Need a new book? Check out these recommendations from the Flare team.

1. We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
In We Should All Be Feminists, Adichie writes the most impactful book we have ever read in a mere 50 pages. Though it is a TED talk, we highly recommended reading the book, as it is quick but moving, and will lead readers to further explore what it means to be a woman. Additionally, the writing style is easy to read and enables all age groups to access the meaning the book holds.
2. A Short History of a Girl Next Door by Jared Reck
This is one of my all time favorite books. It is a perfect mix of funny, charming, relatable, and sad. I never cry when I read books, but A Short History of a Girl Next Door had me crying for half an hour. Throughout the book's plot twists, readers experience what it's like to live with grief and how the characters cope with immense loss. Jared Reck writes a both hilarious and heart wrenching book that we would recommend to anyone.
3. The Secret History by Donna Tartt
The Secret History is the perfect teen story - it is thrilling, relatable, and captivating. The book carries an overall "dark academia" feel as it follows a group of exclusive college students in their Latin study group. Tartt ensures that you will never want to close the book!
