Do you ever watch movies or TV shows and think to yourself, "where can I buy that?" or, "I love that character's style!" Of course, watching TV and movies is great for entertainment, but we can also use our favorite stylish characters' iconic wardrobes to improve our personal style. Some of their pieces inspired our favorite Spring and Summer trends in 2021!

In the 1995 film, Clueless, the protagonist, Cher Horowitz, flaunts a unique 90s style. From her iconic yellow plaid skirt and matching blazer to her baby tees and headbands, Horowitz's style in the movie was truly enthralling. She had fifty-nine outfits in the film, including slip dresses, mini skirts, fur-trimmed coats, bike shorts, and cardigans. In addition, film stylist Mona May incorporated trends of the time that would continue to be stylish years after the movie. While Cher's most memorable look is the yellow plaid set, the stylist deserves an honorable mention for creating these iconic looks under the film's low wardrobe budget.

Legally Blonde from 2001 famously showcases early 2000s fashion. Elle Woods, played by Reese Witherspoon, is decked out in pink from the start. She rocks pink halter dresses, hot pink pleather jackets and skirts, and sparkly pink bikini tops. In many scenes, her outfits stand out with their colorful and eye-catching nature. Elle Woods's signature bubblegum pink is coming back this Spring as a color trend!

The famous sitcom show Friends, which came out in 1994, featured unforgettable 90s fashion trends. One of the Show's main characters, Rachel Green, played by Jenifer Aniston, showed off her iconic 90s style by rocking plaid skirts, lots of denim, and plenty of layered clothing! Her character worked in the fashion industry in the Show, so she also showed off her infamous style with many collared and casual preppy outfits. This summer, a popular trend will be button-downs, a style that Rachel Green rocked numerous times on the Show!

That 70s Show is a beloved sitcom set in the 70s but filmed in the late 90s. Jackie Burkhart, played by actress Mila Kunis, rocks everything in the Show, from iconic 70s flared jeans to statement sweaters. Her endless barrettes, hair clips, and hats only add to her outfits' flair. The characters may be from the 70s, but her style remains timeless. Teens continue to rock high-waisted denim, floral prints, neck scarfs, and platform shoes, just like Jackie did. In addition, she has worn many memorable pieces that will continue to inspire viewers and their wardrobes. Style from the 70s has made a huge comeback this year through its colorful patterns and bold style.

These style steals from the screen can help you improve your own style through inspiration from these famous characters and actresses. We hope you try to implement some of these style steals into your wardrobe!
